Advanced Course in International Arbitration by CIArb and the Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration
The Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration is pleased to announce that it organizes an advanced Course «Module 1 – Law Practice and Procedure International Arbitration» together with the European Branch and the Russian Chapter of European Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).
CIArb was founded in 1915 and now has over 21,000 members in more than 149 countries. CIArb offers world-renowned face-to-face and online virtual classroom training in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) to anyone who wants to learn about avoiding, managing and resolving disputes.
The aim of the Course – to provide candidates with a detailed knowledge of the procedural elements of an International Arbitration, using legislation based on the UNCITRAL Model Law and the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules to enable them to understand and participate in such proceedings. The Course focuses on legal principles, process, practice and procedure in International Arbitration. It is therefore valuable for anyone wishing to understand this topic generally, for example as a party, party representative or witness. It is also an essential requirement for qualification as MCIArb, and for those who aim to practice as an International Arbitrator.
CIArb courses in Russia are traditionally held face-to-face at the RACs’ office. However, owing to the exceptional circumstances caused by the coronavirus pandemic, this year's course is being changed to an online format.

The Course fee: 670 USD / 50 000 RUR (for Russian citizens in accordance with Art. 9 of the Federal Law of the Russian Federation of 10.12.2003 No. 173-FZ " On Currency Regulation and Currency Control"). For arbitrators, included in the United Recommended List of Arbitrators and databases of specialists of the RAC, a discount of 50 % on the course fee is applicable.
The examination fee – 174 GBP.
On successful completion of the Course, candidates are able to pass the Online Assessment, which enables them to apply for the status of Member of CIArb (MCIArb).
