  • Josefa Sicard-Mirabal

    Josefa Sicard-Mirabal has vast experience in international arbitration and international business transactions. Her multifaceted career spans across legal systems, cultures and languages.  Ms. Sicard-Mirabal is an independent arbitrator and party counsel in arbitrations under international and regional institutional rules and ad hoc arbitrations under a variety of national laws. She is also a trained mediator.

    She commenced her legal career as a judge in the Dominican Republic and continued her legal practice in the United States. Ms. Sicard-Mirabal is co-author of the book, Introduction to Investor-State Arbitration, with Yves Derains, Kluwer Law International, 2018.

    She is an adjunct professor of law at Fordham University School of Law in New York City teaching International Business Transactions, LL.M. International Arbitration Practicum, and Introduction to Investor-State Arbitration.

    Ms. Sicard-Mirabal is a dual-qualified lawyer in New York State and the Dominican Republic. She is fully bilingual English/Spanish;  speaks French,  has working knowledge of Italian and Portuguese and basic Turkish.

  • Professor Stavros Brekoulakis

    Stavros Brekoulakis is a Professor in International Arbitration, the Director of the School of International Arbitration at Queen Mary University of London and an arbitrator at 3 Verulam Buildings. Brekoulakis has extensive experience as arbitrator in both investment and commercial disputes under all major arbitration rules. He is being regularly listed in Who’s Who Legal: Arbitration and was named a Global Elite Thought Leader in 2022 as one of the 25 most highly regarded arbitrators in the EMEA region and being praised as “a powerhouse in international arbitration”, “a reigning thought leader in the arbitration space” who is “highly recommended for his impressive experience in commercial and investment arbitration”.

  • Sergey Alekhin

    Sergey Alekhin is a Counsel in Willkie’s Litigation Department in Paris. His practice focuses on international commercial arbitration and investment arbitration, with a particular focus on the post-Soviet region. He has acted in proceedings conducted under the rules of the major arbitration center worldwide (ICC, ICSID, LCIA, etc.), as well as in ad hoc proceedings, including under the UNCITRAL Rules. Prior to joining Willkie in September 2017, Sergey worked for over five years at a Paris-based arbitration boutique.

    Aside from counsel work, Sergey accepts arbitrator appointments and has acted as co-arbitrator and sole arbitrator in proceedings administered, inter alia, by the Russian Arbitration Centre (‘RAC’) at the Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration and the Arbitration Centre at the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (‘RSPP’).

    He frequently publishes and speaks on international arbitration and relates issues, including cybersecurity, blockchain technology and e-sports. Sergey is former co-Chairman of the Young Institute of Modern Arbitration (Young IMA, Russia). In 2018, 2019 and 2021, Sergey was listed in the Top-10 Young Arbitration Practitioners by the Russian Arbitration Association’s under 40 division.

    Agis is a partner at CGA, in Cyprus. His practice focuses on international arbitration and litigation. He has extensive experience in dealing with complex commercial, construction, energy, IP and fraud cases. Agis is a graduate of the University of Leeds and holds an LLM from LSE and Posgraduate Diplomas in International Arbitration, International Mediation and Negotiation. He is a Barrister of Lincoln’s Inn, a Fellow of CIArb and an Accredited Mediator. He is a member of the CPR Standing Committee. Since 2020, he is also a member of the LCIA Court.     Dr Davydenko is an associate professor at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University), Department of Private International and Civil Law, and Higher School of Economics. He is the Director and a co-editor of the CIS Arbitration Forum.

    Dmitry Davydenko has experience as an arbitrator in the ICC and other arbitral proceedings and is listed as a recommended arbitrator of the International Commercial Arbitration Court, Maritime Arbitration Commission at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and other reputed arbitral institutions. Board member of the Mediation Center at Russian Lawyers Association.
