Memorandum of Understanding with the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Arbitration Centre (OIC-AC)
The Russian Institution of Modern Arbitration (RIMA) is pleased to inform you of entering into the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Arbitration Centre (OIC-AC).
The OIC-AC has been established as per its Statute and the Host Country Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD), formerly known as the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture (ICCIA). The ICCD is an affiliate of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) that represents the private sectors of its 57 Member States. It seeks to strengthen collaboration among the national chambers, unions, and chambers of commerce, and industry associations in the Member States of OIC. The OIC-AC has been established to assist the parties, i.e., natural and legal persons from the Member States of the OIC and Non-OIC States, to settle commercial and investment disputes through arbitration and other methods of alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
In the MoU, RIMA and OIC-AC agreed, among other things, to develop ADR methods and to promote a culture of arbitration by cooperating between the institutions.
Dr. Alper Çağrı Yılmaz, OIC-AC Acting Secretary-General, and Yulia Mullina, RIMA General Director, participated in the MoU signing.
