Cooperation Agreement with the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Arbitration and Mediation Center (ITOTAM)
The Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration (RIMA) is pleased to announce the conclusion of a Cooperation Agreement with the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Arbitration and Mediation Center (ITOTAM).
ITOTAM was founded in 2014 as an autonomous arbitration center under the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce. Since its establishment, the Center has been actively promoting alternative dispute resolution in Turkey by providing arbitration, mediation and med-arb services.
The aim of the ITOTAM and RIMA Agreement is to strengthen cooperation between the Centers by organizing joint conferences, workshops and other educational events. Within the framework of Art. 1 of the Agreement, the Centers also adopted the RAC-ITOTAM Model Alternative Arbitration Clause, which meets the current demands of Russian and Turkish businesses for an impartial forum for the effective resolution of their commercial disputes. We are convinced that the Centers' mutual cooperation will contribute to the further development of alternative dispute resolution in Turkey and Russia as well.
The Cooperation Agreement was signed by Dr. Ali Yeşilırmak, ITOTAM member and Vice President of Ibn Khaldun University, and Julia Mullina, General Director of RIMA.
