Introduction to International Arbitration by CIArb and the Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration
The Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration is pleased to announce that it organizes an Introductory Course to International Arbitration together with the European Branch and the Russian Chapter of European Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).
CIArb was founded in 1915 and now has over 21,000 members in more than 149 countries. CIArb offers world-renowned face-to-face and online virtual classroom training in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) to anyone who wants to learn about avoiding, managing and resolving disputes.
The Course takes place in Russia for the fourth time. The analogous courses organized by the Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration and CIArb in 2017, 2018, 2019 received exceptionally positive feedback from the participants from Russia, Armenia, Israel, South Africa, Great Britain, Italy and Cyprus.
The Course covers the essential basics of international arbitration: main principles, arbitration agreements, competence of an arbitral tribunal, enforceability of an arbitral award, etc.
CIArb courses in Russia are traditionally held face-to-face at the RACs’ office. However, owing to the exceptional circumstances caused by the coronavirus pandemic, this year's course is being changed to an online format.

The course consists of one lecture, which can be taken on one of two days to choose: December 12 or December 13, 2020. Sign up now to join the course on a convenient day for you. The group capacity for each day is limited.
The Course fee: 140 USD / 10 000 RUR (for Russian citizens in accordance with Art. 9 of the Federal Law of the Russian Federation of 10.12.2003 No. 173-FZ " On Currency Regulation and Currency Control"). For arbitrators, included in the United Recommended List of Arbitrators and databases of specialists of the RAC, a discount of 50 % on the course fee is applicable.
On successful completion of the Course, candidates are able to pass the Online Assessment, which enables them to apply for Associate Membership of CIArb.
