Event of the RAC in the Dubai Arbitration Week

Organiser

On November 16, 2023, the Russian Arbitration Center held the panel discussion 'Exploring Arbitration in the CIS Region' in Dubai. The event was organised under the auspices of the Dubai Arbitration Week.

We are grateful to all the speakers Andrey Gorlenko (Ivanyan and Partners), Andrey Panov (Allen & Overy Dubai), Alexey Anischenko (Sorainen), Andrew Wortsworth (Raedas), Sergey Alekhin (Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP), Sherzod Abdulkasimov (PraeLegal, Uzbekistan), and Feodor Vyacheslavov (VLawyers) for the fascinating discussion of arbitration regimes and enforcement of arbitral awards and arbitration agreements in Russia, Belarus, and Uzbekistan. The panels were brilliantly moderated by Prof. Islambek Rustambekov (Tashkent State University of Law) and Tatiana Minaeva (Reynolds Porter Chamberlain LLP).

We would like to specially thank our attendees for interactive discussions and questions, and of course for choosing our event out of all the amazing program prepared by the DAW Organisers. We were pleased to notice that our event attracted more than 70 attendees and hope that all of them had a chance to get new insights and connect with each other.

The RAC launched its first overseas office in DIFC this summer. The Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration received the status of a Recognised Company. The parties to arbitration can choose the office of the RAC at the DIFC as the place of dispute resolution, while the arbitration will be administered under the RAC Arbitration Rules 2021 with the rates of arbitration fees provided therein.
