  • Timur Aitkulov Partner at Aitkulov & Partners law firm.

    Timur Aitkulov graduated with honors from MGIMO with a degree in law in 1997 and from the Russian School of Private Law in 1999. In 2001, he defended his PhD thesis on “Legal regulation of mergers and acquisitions of joint stock companies under Russian and German law”.

    Prof Asoskov, LL.D., is a Professor of Civil Law. He is a member of the governing bodies of the Russian Arbitration Centre at the Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration (RAC), International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICAC), Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), and the German Arbitration Institute (DIS). He has acted as an arbitrator in over 100 international arbitrations under major institutional rules and the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules.

    Alexey Anischenko has extensive experience in arbitrations under ICSID, ICC, LCIA, SCC, VIAC, IAC at the BelCCI and UNCITRAL rules, litigation in the Belarusian courts and Economic Court of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Court of the Eurasian Economic Community and Court of the Eurasian Economic Union.

    Alexey is a member of VIAC International Advisory Board and Presidiums of International Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Arbitrators at the Union of Lawyers and Sports Arbitration Court at the Belarussian Republican Union of Lawyers. As an arbitrator (sole, presiding and emergency arbitrator), Alexey considered cases under ICC, SCC, IAC at the BelCCI and RAC rules.

    As a legal advisor, Alexey has extensive expertise in negotiating complex commercial contracts in trade, distribution, services, IP/IT, energy and construction and advised foreign companies and banks on their investments in Belarus and matters of M&A, corporate, tax, customs and competition law.

    Alexey works at the Belarusian State University as a senior lecturer in the departments of Eurasian studies and public administration.

  • Anna GrischenkovaArbitrator, LL.M., MCIArb, Deputy Chairman of ICC Russia Arbitration Commission

    Anna has 20 years of experience in the field of dispute resolution and acts as an arbitrator in Russian and international arbitral institutions being enrolled in the lists of arbitrators in Austria (VIAC), Kuala Lumpur (AIAC), Hong Kong (HKIAC), Belarus (Chamber of Arbitrators), Russia (RAC, Arbitration Center at RSPP), LCIA and SCC. Until 2022, Anna was a partner at KIAP law firm and headed the dispute resolution and international arbitration practice. Anna took part in litigation, international arbitration under the rules of leading arbitration institutions (ICC, LCIA, VIAC, SCC, ICAC, etc.) and in ad hoc arbitration. Over the years of practice, Anna has represented clients in state courts and international arbitration in more than 400 proceedings.

    Anna is the Deputy Chairman of the ICC Russia Arbitration Commission, a regional representative from Russia in the HK45 Committee at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Center (HKIAC), was a regional representative from Russia in the Judicial Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA) in 2016-2018, 2020-2022, was a member of the Russian Arbitration Center Board in 2017-2023. In addition to her Russian education, Anna also received a Master's degree in American Law (LL.M) and has the status of Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators(CIArb). Anna's main specialization is commercial disputes, disputes in the field of construction, during the implementation of infrastructure projects, including oil and gas, and corporate disputes.

    Anna is the author of the book “Psychology and Persuasion in the Litigation Process,” co-editor and co-author of the “Scientific and Practical Article-by-Article Commentary on the Arbitration Legislation” by the RAA and co-editor and co-author of the book “Arbitration in Asia.”

  • Roman ZajcevPartner and Head of Moscow Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice at Nextons

    He focuses on Russian procedural, civil and bankruptcy law and enforcement proceedings. He has significant experience representing client interests in state commercial courts, where he has successfully represented major multinational corporations, individuals and various organizations, including commercial banks, energy companies, car manufacturers, state and municipal authorities and major enterprises.

    Roman has acted successfully in major commercial disputes, bankruptcy proceedings and disputes with state authorities as well as in cases involving the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments in the Russian Federation. He has also represented clients in general enforcement proceedings, due diligence investigations, alternative dispute resolution and various other commercial, civil, procedural, general corporate and administrative matters.

    Vasily Kuznetsov has been representing Russian and international clients in major litigation and arbitration proceedings since 2002, including commercial cases on the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards in Russia. Previously, he was a counsel at Clifford Chance, partner at Dechert, partner at Quinn Emanuel, partner and head of the Russian dispute resolution practice at Baker Botts.

    Maxim Kulkov is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of Moscow State University named after Lomonosov and Master of the University of Nottingham (UK) in International Commercial Arbitration.

    Yulia graduated from the Lomonosov Moscow State University, Faculty of Law (2015) and has a Master’s degree in private law (2017). In 2019, she was a guest researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law (Hamburg, Germany). In 2020, she completed her postgraduate studies at the department of private law of the Lomonosov MSU, Faculty of Law.

    Besides, Yulia has been working in the Russian Arbitration Center at the Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration (RAC) (Moscow) since the very beginning of the project in 2016. As of December 2019, Yulia is CEO of the RIMA and RAC. In this capacity, she is actively involved in developing and promoting arbitration domestically and internationally. Prior to that, Yulia served as a legal counsel and was involved in arbitral proceedings administered by the RAC as an assistant to arbitral tribunals.

    Before launching the RAC, Yulia practiced litigation and arbitration in one of the oldest Russian law firms.

    Yulia is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and a member of the Advisory Board of the Institute for Transnational Arbitration (ITA).

    She has fluent knowledge of Russian and English, basic German.

    In 1999 he graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Volgograd State University; in 2001 he received a diploma with honors from the Russian School of Private Law (master's degree from the Research Center for Private Law named after S.S. Alekseev under the President of the Russian Federation); in 2004 he received PhD in Law.

    Since 2008, he has been a partner and co-head of the International Arbitration and Litigation Practice at Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners.
