In August 2019, Russian Arbitration Center for the first time organizes the Summer Academy on International Arbitration in Russia and CIS.
The curriculum comprises lectures, workshops and master classes on different topics, including international commercial and investment arbitration, mediation, interaction between arbitral tribunals and national courts. The participants will have a unique opportunity to know more about maritime and sports arbitration, arbitration of corporate and IP disputes.
Special focus will be on the improvement of practical skills in drafting of memorials, choice of arbitrators, management of evidence, preparation and conduct of oral hearings.
Leading Russian and foreign practitioners in the field of alternative dispute resolution participate as speakers, amongst them: Anna Grishchenkova (KIAP), Roman Zaitsev (Dentons), Ilia Rachkov (Nektorov, Saveliev and Partners), Yury Babichev (Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner), Sergey Alekhin (Willkie Farr & Gallagher), Artem Doudko (Osborne Clarke) and others.
Participation in the Summer Academy is free of charge.
The Summer Academy is held on 5-10 August (4-5 hours per day in the mornings or in the evenings)
Venue: Russian Arbitration Center, Моscow, Kadashevskaya embankment, 14, bldg 3.
To qualify, the successful participant of the Summer Academy should:
- Have no less than 2 years of experience in arbitration, mediation or litigation;
- Fill the application form until 10 July 2019.
The organizing committee selects from 15 to 20 participants and release the results no later than 20 July 2019.
